Sinfonietta Bratislava

Sinfonietta Bratislava association is primarily focused on organising music events, concerts and supporting young artists through masterclasses and specialized seminars.

The main activity of the organisation is the project Violin Virtuosos Masterclasses in Bratislava, whose primary goal is to offer invaluable experience for young artists under the guidance of the world’s best world-class violinists. Another significant project of the association is the Sinfonietta Bratislava Chamber Orchestra, whose members are the foremost young artists from Slovakia. The orchestra performed at festivals such as Melos-Étos, Allegretto Žilina, Viva Musica! Festival, Albrechtina and collaborated with numerous Slovak and international renowned soloists. The orchestra also participated in recordings and partnerships with major Slovak and Czech film directors such as Jan Svěrák, Jan Hřebejk, Juraj Lehotský, Ondřej Trojan, Martin Šulík, Pavol Barabáš, Erik Baláž and many more.

The association organised many more activities, such as the Stradivari concert, where the audience had the chance to hear the sound of old Italian violin masterpieces from the workshops of Stradivari, Amati and Ventapane presented by well-known Slovak artists. Another significant project was the Benefit concert of Alexandra Soumm and Dalibor Karvay accompanied by the Youth Orchestra of Students from Slovakia and Czech Republic, to support the Children’s Oncology Hospital in Bratislava.
