Sinfonietta Bratislava
Concerts and collaborations
Another significant part of the association is the Sinfonietta Bratislava Chamber Orchestra, whose members are foremost young artists from Slovakia. The orchestra performed at festivals such as Melos-Étos, Allegretto Žilina, Viva Musica! Festival, Albrechtina and collaborated with numerous Slovak and world-renowned soloists such as Alexandra Soumm (violin), Mari Samuelsen (violin), Dalibor Karvay (violin), Milan Paľa (violin), Kristaps Bergs (cello), Pablo Barragán (clarinet), Adriana Kučerová (soprano), Slávka Zámečníková (soprano) and many others. The orchestra also collaborated with 2CELLOS, and took part in concert projects such as Fragile Queen Symphony, Korben Dallas Symphony and Enigma Original Voices.
The orchestra is also involved in recordings and partnerships with major Slovak and Czech film directors such as Jan Svěrák (Barefoot), Jan Hřebejk (The Teacher), Juraj Lehotský (Plastic Symphony), Ondřej Trojan (Toman), Slobodan Maksimović (Kapa), Martin Šulík and documentary directors Pavol Barabáš and Erik Baláž (The Immortal Forest, The Living River, Life on the Edge).
Own projects
In addition to other projects, the association also organised the Stradivari concert, where the audience had the chance to hear the sound of old Italian violin masterpieces from the workshops of Stradivari, Amati and Ventapane presented by well-known Slovak artists. Another significant project was the Benefit concert of Alexandra Soumm and Dalibor Karvay accompanied by the Youth Orchestra of Students from Slovakia and Czech Republic, to support the Children’s Oncology Hospital in Bratislava. The final amount raised during the concert was more than 12 300 €.
